Jazz Spiritualities: 'The Natural Noise of Good'

'Jazz Spiritualities: The Natural Noise of Good' is a series of lectures and conversations  presented by The Oxford Centre for Religion and Culture at Regent's Park College, University of Oxford exploring the ways in which jazz as a musical form has both inspired, and been inspired by, religious practice.

The related concert, 'Naissance', hosted for us by 'Jazz at St Giles', on 20 June 2026 features Jon Lloyd (saxophone) who specialises in European contemporary jazz, using classical and non-western music influences. He is accompanied by John Law (piano) who has been involved in, and acclaimed for, a wide variety of contemporary jazz and classical projects. Both artists are internationally respected composers and performers with extensive recording histories and collaborations across the jazz and contemporary classical worlds. Their work together reflects a shared commitment to music as a vehicle for meaning, healing, and transformation.
